曼谷（ bangkok ）是充满微笑的国度泰国的首都，曼谷位于湄南河（昭披耶河）河畔 ， 暹罗湾口上数公里的平坦冲积平原之上， 已经 200 多年的历史了， 泰国 人称它为 “ 天使之城 ” 。公元 1782 年成立的节基王朝拉玛一世将 曼谷 定为首都，传至今日已是拉玛九世皇。 曼谷 是世界是大都市之一，面积达 1568 平方公里。 既是泰国的主要港口，亦为全国十分之一人口的家园。
曼谷是一个充满诱惑力的大都市。有世界著名的大酒店，豪华的购物中心，一流的国际机场，现代化的办公大楼；但同时它又保留着传统的 泰国 民俗文化：每天清晨水上市场热闹非凡，运河上人们来来往往，古老的寺庙香火鼎盛。它的这种现代与古典相融的都市气氛散发着巨大的魔力，让人迷惑不已。
曼谷离赤道较近，属热带季风气候。一年分三季： 3 月至5 月为夏季；6 月至9 月是阳光充沛的雨季；10 月到翌年2 月为清凉季节。 曼谷 最凉爽的是 12 月份，平均气温为17 度；最热的是4 月份，气温高达38 度。平均降水量为1600 毫米，90% 的雨量几乎集中于5 月中旬至10 月。
学生可根据自己的兴趣选择专业。国际学院的全部课程均以英语授课。在获取丰富知识的同时，学生们的英语水平也得到了很大的提高。被誉为泰国的“ 北京大学” 。曼谷大学国际学院的外籍教师聘请来自欧美名校。曼谷大学与国外著名高等学府进行包括课程设置、教授及教材、联合课程等方面的交流与合作。例如：美国俄亥俄州大学、新奥尔良大学、林肯大学等。
学校有 26288 学生，教师379 人 学校配套设施完整，图书馆有 20 万藏书，可以容纳 3000 人，还有计算机中心和学生活动中心，学校有学生公寓。
